About 100 Lagoon Pond:

100 Lagoon Pond: Floating Gallery, is the island’s first (and only) art gallery literally on the water and is owned and directed by artist Marion Wilson who is known for upcycling mobile structures and creating collaborative art experiences. Purchased in 2021 from a retired master boat builder, Wilson has repurposed the all-wooden studio space into a seasonal gallery. 100 Lagoon Pond: Floating Gallery is both a platform and a lens for this dynamic and complex ecosystem located at the narrow region where land and ocean meet.  The goal of the Floating Gallery is to assist in the preservation of this lagoon coastline through both scientific and poetic interventions that engage human and non-human experiences.

The gallery opened on July 7, 2023 with an exhibition titled “Please Don’t Feed the Birds” featuring the work of Karsen Heagle, Sheida Soleimani, Melissa Friedling and Marion Wilson. The exhibition will be on view through September 10, 2023. The space is open by appointment by emailing floating@100lagoonpond.com.
